My son is turning one *and* the holidays are just around the corner, so I rounded up my favorite one year old gifts!
These are tried and true items we have and LOVE.
Pro-tip: wrap everything in tissue paper. Much easier for little hands to rip open.

Clip on fan- one of our most used items- we use in the car and in the stroller- comes with charger and two rechargeable batteries
Snack cups- No spill- still can get snacks- amazing
My kids favorite teether- my toddler still chews on hers
360 sippy cups- leakproof- and Speech and Language Pathologist approved!
Books

Making Faces (with a mirror). Great for learning emotions (especially since babies don’t see a lot of faces in public anymore because of masks).
Toys
Let’s chat toys. In my opinion, there’s two types:
one-and-done vs open-ended
-One and done toys are the ones they rip open and play with for 2 seconds.
-Open-ended toys allow for more creativity (and kids usually crave this type of toy because it’s true PLAY).
Stacking cups- also a great bath toy

Super Practical
Remember, they’re one. A box of diapers is practical! We got my daughter (who is now a toddler) boxes of diapers for her birthday AND Christmas and she LOVED playing with the box. win-win

Sleep
First off, I totally recommend Taking Cara Babies. We bought it with our son and it’s a complete course on how to sleep train your baby (if they are not already). She takes a gentle approach and it was a game changer for ALL of us.
Here are my top sleeping gear items
Sound Machine (AND it’s portable!) AND lights up (optional). Love the white noise sound on this. Plays music, too, but we just use it for the white noise
Room Darkening curtains. A MUST for good sleep for babes. Don’t be fooled by the white, these are the BEST darkening curtains we have.
Sleep blanket. Can’t swaddle your baby anymore- sleep blanket to the rescue. Do they make these in adult sizes?
Shop Small
Local St. Louis momma! Adorable personalized pennants. Would also make a great baby shower gift.
